Volunteer


TD Festival of South Asia takes place on Gerrard Street between Coxwell and Greenwood on 16 July, Saturday and 17th July Sunday from non to 11pm both days. The festival has become quite popular within Toronto and GTA.

The success is mainly due to the enthusiastic support given by volunteers like you! Volunteers are needed to help and assist in many tasks related to the event planning, execution and completion. The preparations for the event are progressing and like always, we need your support and assistance.

Volunteers have always been the backbone of the success of this great festival and the Little India is proud to have a volunteers from various backgrounds and nationalities in this festival. This event gives you an opportunity to have the glimpses of tastes, culture and music of South Asia. You can make new friends; students can get credits for the school and offers you first hand experience if you are looking for a career in event management.

SAGT 2011 Contenders

All 9 contenders will compete in a grand show scheduled to take place on stage, July 16, 2011 between 6-9pm. Three celebrity judges have been finalized. They are comedian Jus Reign, Actor - Presenter Waseem Shaikh, OMNI News Reporter Khush Panthaky and CityNews reporter Saphia Khambalia. They will be a part of the segment and will select one winner. Winners of the competition will receive a legacy trophy, exclusive media interview as well as the title of Canada’s first TD S.A.G.T winner.
