The TD Festival of South Asia creates a window into the East to celebrate and experience the culture and cuisine of South Asia. From Bhangra to Basmati to Bollywood music, this event has all the ingredients to make festival visitors feel like they've traveled the world.
The TD Festival of South Asia takes place July 16-17 in Toronto along Gerrard Street East between Greenwood and Coxwell Avenue from 12:00-11:00 p.m. The entertainment line-up promises to be a showstopper. On 16th July, the TD Festival of South Asia is presenting its first ever South Asia's Got Talent show for Toronto based youth. This show is based on a popular reality show Britain's Got Talent. It will aim to showcase the best Toronto youth have to offer in dance, singing, drama, magic and much, much more. Visit southasiasgottalent.com for complete details on this maiden talent show.
The main stage will feature dancing, talent shows, and authentic South Asian cultural programs reflecting Indian, Afghani, Pakistani, Bengali and Sri Lankan cultures. Off-stage, visitors will be enticed by the wonderful foods offered by up to 20 different restaurants and priced from one to six dollars.

SAGT 2011 Contenders
All 9 contenders will compete in a grand show scheduled to take place on stage, July 16, 2011 between 6-9pm. Three celebrity judges have been finalized. They are comedian Jus Reign, Actor - Presenter Waseem Shaikh, OMNI News Reporter Khush Panthaky and CityNews reporter Saphia Khambalia. They will be a part of the segment and will select one winner. Winners of the competition will receive a legacy trophy, exclusive media interview as well as the title of Canada’s first TD S.A.G.T winner.
